New Carers Workshops

Starting this October 2026, the Bromley Well Adult Carers Team will be inviting new carers to attend an introductory workshop to hear about the support available from Bromley Well, to work through the Carers Starter Pack in more detail and have a chance to ask questions.  Workshops will run regularly throughout the year.

Workshops will also cover the new NHS Universal Care Plan (UCP) App and how Carers can use it to create their own Carers Contingency Plan, including who to contact in the event of emergencies.

Bromley Well Adult Carers Service

The Bromley Well Adult Carers Service is based at Bromley Well partner charity, Age UK Bromley and Greenwich.

Mark Ellison, CEO at Age UK Bromley and Greenwich

"We know that many people do not immediately identify themselves as carers, yet they often take on significant responsibilities to support a loved one. The Carers Starter Pack has been developed to provide clear, practical information and reassurance from the very beginning of a caring journey. We hope it helps carers feel more confident, informed and connected to the support available in Bromley."

David Walker CEO at BTSE, contract managers for Bromley Well services

"Unpaid carers play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of residents across Bromley, often balancing caring responsibilities alongside work, family life and their own health needs. The new Carers Starter Pack and introductory workshops are important resources that empower carers with knowledge, practical guidance and access to local support, helping them to continue in their caring role while looking after their own wellbeing."
