Information and Advice Specialist Advisor

Salary: £21,430 per annum

We are looking for an experienced professional to work alongside colleagues providing specialist information and advice to older people. Young Carers Support Worker

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £24,500 + 3% pension

Our Young Carers Service supports young carers aged 4-19 to manage their caring relationships while also enjoying their childhoods. As Support Worker, you'll be delivering support to all young carers, including those isolated and hard to reach, by offering a programme of outreach through schools and local organisations.  We're looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people who has excellent communication skills. Take Home and Settle Assistant

Hours: Monday-Friday 1pm-5pm

Salary: Retainer and shift payment made at London Living wage.

We are recruiting caring, reliable, empathetic people to help older people return home after a stay in hospital.  Bromley Well's Take Home & Settle Assistants will escort older people home from the Princess Royal University hospital and Orpington Hospital in the Borough of Bromley and settle them in at home reassuring them and offering support with shopping and other tasks where required. LifeStyle Support Workers (x2)

Salary: £23,950 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for two experienced professionals to work in the Bromley Well Long Term Health Conditions (LTHC) team, based at Age UK Bromley and Greenwich offices in central Bromley.  You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of this programme for Bromley residents, providing support to adults living with LTHCs by telephone, text and face-to-face, prompting clients to develop skills to make positive changes.  More information and full application pack here.

Peer Support Volunteer for Mental Health Carers

We're looking for volunteers to co-facilitate monthly peer support sessions and workshops to help carers share their experiences in a supportive and confidential group setting.

Volunteers should have experience of managing small groups and knowledge of different mental health conditions. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has experience of being a carer for a loved one and feels they could support others going through a similar experience. 

This volunteer role is based with Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind, one of the 5 charities delivering Bromley Well Services.

Telephone Support Service Volunteer (posted 23/5/2019)

Do you have a few hours a week to spare and like chatting to people on the phone?

Bromley Well is looking for a volunteer to help with our telephone call service, which supports people with physical disabilities and people with learning disabilities. You'll be given a list of clients to contact on a regular basis to ensure they're keeping well, looking after themselves and getting the support they need.

If you like talking to people on the phone and are a good listener, you could really make a difference to our clients’ lives and help to stop them feeling isolated.

You'll be provided with a mobile phone and you'll be able to work from home. Hours are flexible and full training will be given.
