Kickstarting World Cancer Day in Bromley

To kickstart World Cancer Day on February 4th 2021, Bromley Well and Macmillan Cancer Support organised "Caring for our Cancer Community" in Bromley.

Colleagues from health and social care came together to hear a range of speakers talking about the support available for people living with cancer in Bromley.

This event was merely the first step in what Bromley Well envisage will be a series of online sessions culminating in a face-to-face event for the Borough when conditions allow.

Here's a message from event organiser Nikki Fishman at Bromley Well

"It was lovely that so many of you were able to join us on World Cancer Day for our “Caring for Our Bromley Cancer Community” event.  It was especially pleasing to see such a wide and varied audience. It’s fair to say we had a good old mix of backgrounds and expertise all in one virtual room - which is exactly what we’d hoped for!"

"We’d be really pleased to receive your feedback and also to hear of any suggestions or offer of support. Thank you for those who have already offered to speak and to share your knowledge at our next event - I will be in touch!"
