LWCI Family Support Group for Parents & Carers of Young People with SEN

Monday 17 November 2025
17:00 to 19:00

For Self Care Week

Run by Lay Withness for Christ International (LWCI), this regular peer support forum is for parents and carers of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

It's a relaxed and welcoming space where families can come together, share experiences, and support one another.

The aim is to build stronger networks, exchange helpful strategies, and ensure carers feel heard, valued, and better equipped.

The format will be an informal group discussion, giving everyone a chance to speak, listen, and connect in a safe, understanding environment.

We’ll explore what support is working well, what challenges families are facing, and where people turn when they need help. It’s also a space to talk about how services can better meet the needs of SEN families.

Highlights of the event include: Peer-led conversations with real, lived experience Sharing practical advice and emotional support. And a chance to form meaningful, lasting connections with others in similar situations

We want attendees to leave feeling encouraged, supported, and part of a community that understands their journey.

Light refreshments will be provided, and everyone is welcome, whether they're looking to talk, listen, or just be around others who understand.
