During Covid-19 there has been an increase in scams and fraud. Many people have been victims causing them to lose thousands of pounds.

• Types of scams – phone, text, internet, post, doorstep
• scams doing the rounds at the moment, inc. HMRC & other large organisations / Covid inc, NHS track & trace / ‘Helpful’ people / emails / texts / social media
• ‘best advice’ to give when chatting to their ‘friend’ – Its OK to say NO – Just Hang Up / where forward emails or texts for investigation
• spotting the signs – what they could ask their friend to see if there are any signs of scams
• Where to get help – Citizens Advice / Bank / trusted people / Rapid Response and me!
