Welcome to Day 5 of #BromleySelfcare Week!

Connect, learn, have fun and boost your mental health.

Thank to friends who are joining us today - including Bev from Bromley Council who is their Consumer Protection Inspector, Scams and Doorstep Crimes.

All sessions are free to residents in Bromley Borough. Most sessions are online via Zoom. Once you've registered on Eventbrite we'll send a link.

Join Reanne from Bromley Well Mental Wellbeing Team for this session designed to give you a space to reflect on your personal approach to self-care, and to learn new ways to improve this for now and the future.

11am-12 noon Making Meaningful Connections

Join Eppie from Bromley Well Mental Wellbing Team for this session focused on the Five Ways to Wellbeing and specifically ways to “connect” with others. In light of COVID-19 we have all had to make changes to the way we live and for many of us we are connecting with ourselves and others differently. Access this session to make sure you are getting the most out of all possible connections day to day.

1pm-2pm Taking Notice of the World Around You

Join Helen from the Bromley Well Mental Wellbeing Team. A session focused on the Five Ways to Wellbeing and specifically ways to “take notice” of yourself and the world around you. This is going to be a fully interactive session where we will encourage you to take part in multiple activities to learn about ways to practice taking notice and how you can benefit from this skill to support your mental health and wellbeing. This is going to a fun-filled session and we really encourage you to join if you feel like being creative and trying something new.

2-3pm Self-compassion and Caring for Oneself

Join Rocio from the Bromley Well Mental Wellbeing Team on  our Facebook LiveAn opportunity to learn about the art of showing compassion to yourself and improving ways to listen to and care for your own wellbeing more sensitively.

3pm-4pm Introduction to Mindfulness

We're pleased to welcome Kathy Sexton, a Specialist Leader in Education and also a Mindfulness Practitioner with 34 years’ teaching experience.

  • brief introduction to what mindfulness is and how it can be helpful to us
  • learn short mindful breathing practices
  • guided meditation to nurture self compassion
  • Q&A
