Welcome to Day 3 of #BromleySelfcare Week!

Keeping ActiveThe main focus for today is physical activity - why it's important and what you can do to incorporate movement into your day.

We're so pleased to have colleagues from Primetime at Mytime Active Bromley U3A and Healthwatch Bromley taking part. Thanks for joining us!

All sessions are free to residents in Bromley Borough. They will be on Zoom and a link will be sent to you in advance.

What's on

10 -10.30am Mytime Active Exercise Referral - how it works 

Join Diane, Programme Manager for Mytime Active.  Diane manages the exercise on referral and health programmes. Come along to hear about these schemes, how they work and if you could get referred. The session is for members of the public and professionals in the borough.

 

10.30am Our Voices Heard on Health and Social Care

Join Healthwatch Bromley to find out what they do and how you can let them know your experiences using local health & social care services.

11am - 12 noon Sosa Session ( seated dance)

Join Steffie Croxson and start your day dancing! Steffie is an experienced fitness and SOSA instructor. What's SOSA? Find out about SOSA here.

 

1pm-2pm Activity Workshop with Bromley Well

Join Dean, from Bromley Well’s Long Term Health Team for this taster activity workshop and an introduction to the other health and wellbeing workshops Bromley Well run.

 

2-3pm U3A and Memory Singers group

Made up of members and volunteers from the University of the Third Age and supported by Age UK Bromley & Greenwich, this singing group is suitable for all. Fear not if you are shy about singing aloud because it’s on Zoom, meaning we all are muted and can sing along to Gloria as she plays the piano and we follow the on-screen words! Best of all is that if you enjoy this session it is held weekly, so please come back!

3pm-4pm Dementia Friendly Seated Chair Exercise

Welcome to Ann, a specialist in exercise for older adults with 42 years’ experience in dance and exercise.

Her class is designed to support strength, balance and mobility and offer fun along the away! As well as being open to all, her session is also dementia-friendly.
