Coping with Life as a Carer Course (Bromley)
Thursday 11 April 2019
18:15 to 19:45
Join us for this free, 8 week programme to help you cope with life as a carer.
The course starts on Thursday 11th April and will run every Thursday from 6.15pm - 7.45pm at Bromley Central Library, in the High Street, BR1 1EX.
Over the 8 weeks, you'll follow a structured programme of learning about caring and the impact this can have on your life.
The course is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. CBT is a form of psychology that has an impressive evidence base for its effectiveness and is the treatment of choice for depression and anxiety.
There's a workbook to follow and facilitators who'll demonstrate an interest in your difficulties. You can expect a warm and empathic atmosphere and, hopefully, as a result of taking part in a group you'll feel supported by other group members.
