This free training session will be useful for anyone working with disabled people and their carers and for anyone wanting to understand more about disability and the identification of mutual and young carers.

The first part of the session covers:

  • the legal context of disability
  • an overview of disability confidence covering communication and the use of appropriate language/etiquette
  • considerations when working with disabled people.

The second part covers:

how Bromley Well services can support disabled people and their carers. There'll be examples of how the service has made a difference to local people's lives. It's an interactive session including discussion and face to face interviews with clients who have been supported by Bromley Well.

This training is repeated on Wednesday 12 September, 10am-12 noon and on Thursday 27 September 2-4pm.

Venue: Community House, South Street, Bromley.
